In consideration of participation in FFJ activities, the school/team hereby releases, waives, discharges, and covenants not to sue FFJ, its officers, directors, coaches, volunteers, affiliates, sponsors, Ministry partners, or agents (collectively "Released Parties") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury (including death), or property damage sustained by any participant, whether caused by negligence of Released Parties or otherwise.

The school/team voluntarily assumes all risks inherent in flag football, including but not limited to slips, falls, collisions, heat-related issues, or inherent game risks, even in non-contact format.

The school/team agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from participation. This includes any claims brought by parents/guardians, players, or third parties.

Severability: If any provision is held invalid, the remainder remains in full effect.

Governing Law: This agreement is governed by Jamaican law.

The undersigned confirms that individual Parent/Guardian Consent and Media Release forms will be obtained for each participating student. These forms include:

• Medical Consent: Authorization for emergency medical treatment if parent/guardian cannot be contacted.
• Risk Acknowledgment & Waiver: Voluntary assumption of all risks inherent in flag football and release of FFJ and Released Parties from liability.
• Media/Photo Release: Irrevocable permission for FFJ to photograph, record, or use the child's image/likeness for League promotion without compensation.
• Indemnification: Parent agrees to indemnify Released Parties against claims arising from participation.

FFJ follows safeguarding protocols aligned with Jamaica's Child Care and Protection Act (2004), CPFSA guidelines, and UNICEF Fair Play principles.

FFJ adopts a proactive, zero-tolerance approach to any form of child abuse, including physical, emotional, sexual, neglect, or exploitation. All involvement in FFJ activities constitutes acceptance of these protocols, which prioritize the best interests of the child as paramount under Jamaican law.

Key protocols include:

• All coaches/volunteers must complete background checks (Jamaica Constabulary Force) and child protection training.
• "Two-adult rule" — no adult works alone with children at any time.
• No private messaging/social media with children; communication through parent-involved channels only.
• Mandatory reporting of any suspected abuse to FFJ Child Protection Officer, CPFSA (876-553-2222), or police.
• Photography/video only with signed Parent Consent Forms; no personal social media use by adults without oversight.
• Annual review of protocols; training refreshers; compliance checks.

Code of Conduct: Adults must treat all children fairly and respectfully, use positive reinforcement, ensure hydration and rest breaks, and maintain professional boundaries. No bullying, shouting, derogatory language, alcohol, drugs, or inappropriate content around children.

Coaches must complete FFJ training, background checks, and child protection orientation (aligned with UNICEF/Jamaican child safeguarding standards). Coaches agree to:

• Prioritize safety: hydration, warm-ups, injury protocols.
• Follow non-contact rules strictly; no tackling or hitting.
• Report all concerns per child protection policy immediately.
• Release and indemnify FFJ/Released Parties fully or face removal.

• Non-contact only (flag-pulling). No tackling.
• Ages 6–12, divided by age group.
• 5v5 format with defined field size, scoring, and penalties.
• Emphasis on fun, sportsmanship, and inclusion per national youth policy.
• Zero tolerance for unsafe conduct; coaches enforce Ministry-aligned safety standards.

Participation constitutes acceptance of all rules and full release of FFJ/Released Parties from liability.
